Baltimore, MD - The Bishops of Missouri have released a letter addressed to the chair of the US Conference of Clatholic Bishops (USCCB) Committee for the Protection of Children and Young People and a statement declaring their concern for the need for action by the bishops.

The letter and statement were released after the president of the USCCB, Card. Daniel DiNardo, announced that the Holy See's Congregation for the Clergy requested the US bishops not pass action items addressing the clergy sexual abuse during their General Assembly.
