LifeHouse Volunteers Needed

LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home is in need of loving, dedicated volunteers to work in our childcare program. We offer twice weekly childcare to our residents on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:30am–11:30am. If interested, contact Jill Bryant, 417.720.4213, or email at jbryant@ccsomo.org. August Work Day—LifeHouse

Our August work day will be Thursday, August 23rd, 8:30am–10:30am. We will be weeding and harvesting vegetables from the 21 raised beds that the residents of LifeHouse enjoy as well as general grounds maintenance. We will continue to scrape paint from the back grotto in preparation for painting in September, and moving mulch where it is needed. We are needing gardeners who would be willing to harvest vegetables one hour a week or month. Please call Jana Hukriede at 417.840.4109 to volunteer or for more information.

The 6–week Coping class begins Thursday, August 23rd, at 6:30pm, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and is designed to help individuals work through the trauma of losing a spouse through death, divorce or separation. Participants are introduced to the 5 Stages of Grief, a normal reaction to any significant loss. Sessions are facilitated by a team of men and women who have been there. The cost is $20.00.
