Life Is a Test

One of my favorite posters says, "Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been a real life you would have been instructed where to go and what to do." Whenever I think of this humorous bit of wisdom, it reminds me to not take my life so seriously. As an experiment, see if you can apply this idea to something you are forced to deal with. Perhaps you have a difficult teenager or a demanding boss. See if you can redefine the issue you face from being a "problem" to being a test. Beginning Experience

The next Coping with Life Alone course for divorced, widowed, or separated begins Thursday, February 22nd, 6:30pm, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. This 6-week course is designed to help individuals work through the trauma of losing a spouse through death or divorce. The Beginning Experience programs, sponsored by the diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, offer strength and growth through a community of friendship, support and prayer. The Lenten Lock-In is March 3rd–4th at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Springfield. All youth, K-5th grade, currently in an adventure program such as Boy Scouts, American Heritage Girls, Trail Life, or Girl Scouts are invited to participate. All youth 6th grade and older are invited to serve on the team. The Lock-In begins with 4:30pm Mass and ends Sunday morning at 7:30am.
